MERT Responder Training
Date: August 8, 2010 Time: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm Location: Port Townsend School of Massage Contact: Cathy Olson Phone: 425-823-1347 Email: office@amta-wa.org The AMTA-WA Massage Emergency Response Team (MERT) provides massage to emergency response personnel during crisis situations. It also offers community outreach to emergency responders. This training session is a prerequisite to becoming a member of MERT and will cover the skills necessary to respond to Critical Incident situations.
Preregistration & payment of the $30 training fee is required no later than August 2. For details and registration information click here.
Either before or after taking the training you may complete a MERT application to join the team. Initial membership dues are $35 for AMTA members and $45 for non-AMTA members. Click here for the MERT application. |
