Volunteering is a great way to have fun and make a difference in the massage profession. You can use your skills, talents and passions and learn new skills while working with others in a common goal.

AMTA-WA is almost exclusively driven by the efforts of volunteers. All of the events, projects, programs and support that is provided by AMTA-WA represents thousands of hours per year in volunteerism from our community.

Our board of directors are volunteers. Our Government Relations program are volunteers. Volunteers create and write the newsletter and run the communications committee. Volunteers help organize the annual meeting and the state massage convention. Get the picture?

In return, we support our volunteers and provide leadership development trainings to help volunteers grow and learn. The skills and abilities can easily translate into your business/career and help you to be more successful in whatever you do!

Become a Board Member

The best way to get involved is to become a member! Membership in the American Massage Therapy Association includes liability insurance, CE classes (online and in person national and state convention), networking and advocacy for the massage profession in the State of WA and Nationally. Our State Lobbyist watches over the Board of Massage and Legislation activities in WA State. Our Government Relations Committe works closely with the Lobbyist and also is involved in working with health insurance carriers. AMTA-WA Elected Positions are elected annually. Members will be notified at election time on how to vote and who is running.
